"Chase!" is my first attempt at creating a conceptual advertisement, and the result is quite abstract.----(you'll feel this if you watch it)
I included elements like "a rolling ball, a running person, purple stripe socks, and a seemingly out-of-place& disproportion pomegranate" to convey the purpose of showcasing the product.
My intention was simply to present the act of "chasing" itself.
Are people chasing the ball, or is the ball leading them?
We neither know nor need to know.
This visual experience is all about sensory perception—an instinctive reaction. Through the medium of video, I aimed to highlight human "subconscious" tendencies in movement, which is why some elements might appear more random.
Most of the video footage was shot during my trip to Paris.
I believe that encountering new things (as I did while exploring Paris) is a process of chasing—pausing, observing, and interacting. Given the French setting, the video's style was heavily inspired by the French New Wave too, particularly its approach to editing, stylistic elements, and low-budget filmmaking.
To further conceptualise my ideas, I applied AI visuals in the creative process, integrating them seamlessly into my content. By doing so, I was able to expand the abstract narrative, enhance the sensory experience, and create a more immersive and dynamic connection with the audience.
The inspiration for this project came from my sensory impressions of Dr. Jackson's face wash—"touch, smell, sound"—translated through a protagonist's journey in pursuit of a rolling pomegranate. This created a unique, natural experience of "foam, refreshment, and curiosity."
The product itself, featuring natural botanical ingredients like orange and pomegranate scents and the invigorating sensation of foam, motivated me to use this creative video to evoke curiosity and immerse the audience in the feeling of using the product.
